Thank you for your interest in National Bank Open presented by Rogers in Toronto, an event which annually brings Canada to the centre stage of international sport. The third-oldest tournament in all of tennis, behind only Wimbledon and the US Open, some of the greatest tennis players in history have been crowned champion.
We appreciate your valued coverage and support of this Canadian event. The National Bank Open is owned and operated by Tennis Canada, and as a non-profit organization, all net surplus is directed towards tennis development.
The tournament will take place from August 7-15, 2021. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to working with you.
Tennis Canada is now inviting media to submit their applications for Virtual Media Accreditation for the 2021 National Bank Open presented by Rogers. Because of the health and safety protocols enforced by the Canadian government and the ATP and WTA Tours due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, general media will not be allowed onsite at this year’s events.
All application requests are, therefore, for access to a Virtual Media Centre through which media may cover the tournaments remotely. The tournaments, as well as the ATP and WTA Tours will be enforcing their usual standards during the accreditation process. Therefore, priority will be given to larger international and national media outlets. The deadline for submitting Virtual Media Accreditation Applications was Friday July 16, 2021. The application form is still open, but applying following the deadline will significantly impact the likelihood of your application being accepted.

Photographers can also submit applications for the 2021 National Bank Open. However, as a result of the health and safety protocols enforced by the Canadian government due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, only a select number of photographers will be permitted to be onsite at the tournaments this year.
Given the restrictions in place permit fewer photographers to be onsite, priority will be given to larger media outlets. Photographers must apply for accreditation on the website of the specific tournament they wish to cover – either Toronto or Montreal. The deadline for submitting Photographer Accreditation Applications was Friday July 16, 2021. The application form is still open, but applying following the deadline will significantly impact the likelihood of your application being accepted.
