407 ETR Family Weekend

407 ETR Family Weekend is back for the 2022 National Bank Open presented by Rogers with plenty of fun and free activities for the whole family! A fan favourite for all ages, this is the perfect opportunity to see your favourite players at their practice sessions and qualifying matches on opening weekend. Located at Sobeys Stadium, the 407 ETR Family Weekend will take place on August 6 and 7, 2022 from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. With events running all day long on both Saturday and Sunday, it is sure to keep you and the family active and entertained throughout the entire weekend. Free entry at the gate!

2022 ACTIVITIES

Main Stage

Saturday

When: Saturday at 11:00 a.m.

From 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., kids will have a chance to meet mascots from their favourite TV and movies, including Paw Patrol and Spider-Man!

When: Saturday at 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The 407 ETR Free Community Air Guitar Contest returns! Join your favourite mascots on stage for a chance to win some great prizes!

Come visit the main stage from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. to meet some of your favorite tennis stars!

Sunday

When: Sunday at 11:00 a.m.

Fans are able to support their favourite players and get creative with our choice of stencils at the Airbrush Tattoo Station.

When: Saturday at 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Guests can go head to head with friends and family members by putting their serve to the ultimate test at the 407 ETR Fast Serve Cage.

When: Saturday at 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Kids can get into the National Bank Open spirit and showed their support for their favourite players at our Face Painting Station.

New to the 407 ETR Family Weekend is the VIA Rail Train that will take fans on a tour around the stadium to see all the new activations we have at this years 2022 National Bank Open, you will also be able see the courts where your favourite players will be playing this year.

Fans can let their creativity flow at our Arts & Crafts Station where they will be able to decorate tennis balls and much more.

When: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Come sign our positive court pledge on the grounds at the National Bank Open and write an uplifting message to some of your favourite athletes! Be sure to post yourself signing the pledge with the #MentalTimeout encouraging others to sign and spread the positive messaging. Short for time? Sign the pledge on the Tennis Canada website and be part of the change within Tennis.

Try out our new inflatable obstacle course!

Kids have a chance to test out their tennis skills and learn to play on the mini courts.

When: Saturday at 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Visitors have the chance to learn and try to play wheelchair tennis on the promo courts from experienced coaches and players. All equipment provided, just bring yourself.

When: Saturday at 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Check out our Mad Science Slime Station! Meet our Mad Scientist and learn how you can make your own slime!

When: Saturday at 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Guests were able to get a personalized cartoon sketch at our Caricature Artist Station.

Always a winner with the kids, guests will be able to swing by our station to pick up balloons in all shapes and sizes.

When: 1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.

Join us and be one with our centre court in a relaxing Yoga activity! For an hour during the day kids and parents can join us in a relaxing yoga activity that is sure to ease your mind.
