What is a session?
The National Bank Open consists of 15 sessions of tennis.
Qualifying matches are played on August 4 and 5, when players outside the Top 50 compete for a spot in the main draw. From Tuesday, August 6 until Sunday, August 11 there are two sessions per day: one in the daytime and one in the evening. The singles and doubles finals are played on Monday, August 12. There are at least two matches scheduled per session. This number could vary depending on the length of matches and any delays due to weather or injury.
