July 24, 2023

The National Bank Open presented by Rogers is just around the corner and fans visiting the tournament will be able to Feel Tennis in many ways throughout the week in both Montreal and Toronto using all five of their senses.

Tennis Sound will be felt in a big way during Opening Night at IGA Stadium on Monday, August 7 beginning at 6 p.m. when popular Montreal band Clay and Friends, with the help of Mixbus Studio, brings its powerful blend of hip-hop, soul, and funk to life in a special performance at the Esplanade Loto-Quebec.

Fans can purchase tickets for Centre Court or Rogers Court during Monday’s evening session to enjoy the best of tennis as well as Clay and Friends. They can also buy a grounds pass for $20 to attend their show and take advantage of everything else happening on-site.

In addition to Clay and Friends, there will be a full slate of live music to hear during the event featuring Julien Charbonneau, Jolyane Lemay, Noëm, and more. There will also be multiple DJ sets to take in at various locations around the grounds.

Listen to the official NBO Montreal Podcast

Speaking of Tennis Sound, be sure to listen to Sur La Ligne, the official NBO Montreal podcast, for exclusive interviews, analysis and features throughout the tournament.

Meanwhile, if you’re sitting in the stadium and missing the match play-by-play, get yourself some National Bank earpieces and hear your favourite TV commentary while watching in person.

Did you know that this year’s NBO Montreal marketing campaign includes the song J’entends frapper by popular Montreal musician Michel Pagliaro. In the ad, the lyrics, which can easily be related back to tennis, are sung by an all-female group and the visuals showcase Canadian stars Bianca Andreescu and Leylah Annie Fernandez as well as the WTA’s biggest stars.

At the National Bank Open in Toronto, fans can listen to live musical performances between matches on the TC Main Stage all week including Rob Watts, CJ Cooper, The Blackstones, and more. There will be something for everyone regardless of what genre you prefer.

Listen to the official Tennis Canada Podcast

Tune into Match Point Canada, one of the most popular tennis podcasts around, as hosts Ben Lewis and Mike McIntyre bring you all the latest news from Sobeys Stadium with special guests, exclusive content, and much more.

If you’re watching a match on Centre Court and find yourself in need of some play-by-play, get yourself some National Bank earpieces and hear your favourite TV commentary to enhance your in-stadium experience.

We promise that the Tennis Sound offered during NBO in both cities will be music to your ears.
