The renowned pianist and composer will perform on Centre Court at IGA Stadium before the start of the men’s singles final on August 12.
Tennis Canada is very pleased to announce that renowned Québec pianist and composer Alexandra Stréliski will be performing at the 2024 National Bank Open presented by Rogers in Montréal.
Ahead of the men’s singles final on Monday, August 12, IGA Stadium will feel tennis as the Félix and Juno Award-winning Montrealer kicks off the evening’s prematch festivities with a performance on Centre Court that will enthrall fans and showcase our local culture and talent to the millions of TV viewers in over 175 countries who will be tuning into the ultimate showdown.
“I’m honoured to have the opportunity to play for fans at the National Bank Open this summer,” said Alexandra Stréliski. “I really love the event, and I also really love tennis. There are so many parallels between the sport and music. On the court and on stage, athletes and artists draw on their passion and literally dedicate their body and soul to delivering the absolute best performance. When I see players in action, I see part of myself in them, and it’s so fantastic! I’m very much looking forward to these two passions—tennis and music—coming together.”

With more than 400 million streams and 100,000 concert tickets sold worldwide, Stréliski is the first solo instrumental artist to headline the Festival d’été de Québec. A true Québec and Canadian phenomenon, she was dubbed “one of the foremost new stars in modern classical” by Billboard magazine, and her meteoric rise is showing no signs of slowing down. Her music has been featured in television and film and at leading cultural events, including HBO’s Sharp Objects and the Big Little Lies season 2 roundtable, Dallas Buyers Club and Demolition, a Hugo Boss show at New York Fashion Week and the Academy Awards ceremony.
Alexandra’s Stréliski’s appearance marks her second collaboration with the National Bank Open. In 2022, Tennis Canada asked her to perform at a surprise birthday celebration for fellow Montrealer Félix Auger-Aliassime.
“We’re thrilled that Alexandra will be part of the National Bank Open presented by Rogers in Montréal,” said tournament director Valérie Tétreault. Year after year, our team invests every effort to further enhance the fan experience and, above all, highlight our local focus. Our tournament has a deep-rooted identity that’s the envy of many events around the world, and we’re very excited to see it shine even brighter this year thanks to a homegrown artist who’s been making us proud for several years now.”
In addition to the list of players who will be competing in the tournament, Tennis Canada will release the full event schedule for the National Bank Open in the coming days. Tickets for Monday’s final and all the tournament sessions are on sale here.
