Alexei Popyrin had caused plenty of upsets over the last two years in Canada, but he needed to take it to another level on Monday.

Quarter-final action began with the defending champion looking to make it 10 wins in a row in the first singles match of the evening against top seed and 2017 champion Alexander Zverev.

The doubles quarter-finals took place on Monday with all of the remaining teams in action. The wheelchair event also continued out on Court 1.
