It was media day on Sunday at the National Bank Open presented by Rogers in Montreal with several players holding their pre-tournament press conferences.
Among them was Caroline Wozniacki who will be making her much-anticipated return to the WTA Tour on Tuesday as a mom of two.
The former World No. 1 and 2010 National Bank Open champion spoke about the logistics of travelling with her family, the flight over, and how much she’s enjoying seeing more of Montreal through the eyes of her children, Olivia and James.
Wozniacki talked about the evolution of the women’s game since the last time she played a professional match in 2020 as well as her motivation for coming back and her early expectations for her return. She also received some valuable advice from fellow tennis moms Kim Clijsters and her good friend Serena Williams.
