- Qualifying - [8] D. Schwartzman (ARG) d. [1] A. Vukic (AUS) 6-4, 6-4
- The Argentine will make his sixth appearance in the main draw in Canada after committing just three unforced errors to upset the top seed.
- Qualifying - [3] M. Giron (USA) d. [10] R. Albot (MDA) 6-3, 6-1
- Giron dominates on return, winning 51 per cent of Albot's service points and breaking serve five times.

- Qualifying - [5] M. Purcell (AUS) d. [WC] B. Schnur (CAN) 6-2, 6-1
- Four is the magic number for Purcell, who saves all four break points he faced and commits just four unforced errors to deny the home favourite.
COURT 4 start 11:00 am
- Qualifying - [7] T. Kokkinakis (AUS) d. [13] C. Lestienne (FRA) 7-6(6), 6-3
- Both men had 30 winners, but Kokkinakis was the cleaner of the two with a few fewer unforced errors and a lot less double faults to reach his first main draw in Canada since 2014.

- After saving three set points in a wild first-set tiebreak, Daniel rides the momentum into the main draw.
COURT 3 start 12:00 noon
- Qualifying - [12] C. Garin (CHI) d. [4] C. O'Connell (AUS) 7-6(6), 6-4
- After saving three set points in the opening set, Garin squeaks out a hard-fought win in just under two hours.

- Qualifying - [2] M. Arnaldi (ITA) d. [Alt] M. Pecotic (CRO) 6-4, 6-4
- High-percentage tennis, with a low error count overcoming his opponent's 23 winners, sees Arnaldi into his first Masters 1000 main draw on a hard court.
