It was a hot and humid day on Saturday to begin the 2024 National Bank Open presented by Rogers in Montral but that didn’t stop tennis fans from making their way to Jarry Park for IGA Family Weekend.
In addition to practices featuring World No. 1 Jannik Sinner, Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Gael Monfils, and Holger Rune, families kept cool while participating in an array of activities.

The highlight on today’s off-court schedule was the traditional Ball hockey game presented by Knapper that included PWHL stars from Montreal, Ottawa, and New York going up against Vasek Pospisil, Marcos Giron, and some of their colleagues who traded their racquets for sticks.
The game was tightly contested with the ATP holding their own against the fancy playmaking courtesy and impressive skills of Erin Ambrose, Maureen Murphy, Gabrielle David, Catherine Daoust, Alexandra Labelle, and Audrey-Anne Veillette.
In the end, the PWHL squad won the game thanks to the shootout winner from Daoust.
