October 28, 2026
It’s never too early to start thinking about next year. Especially when you’re a few months removed from witnessing a record-setting tournament in Toronto and Montreal.
Ben Shelton successfully defended his title at IGA Stadium and Iga Swiatek lifted her first trophy on Canadian soil at Sobeys Stadium.
It’s time to switch it up as the WTA returns to Montreal and the ATP to Toronto for the 2027 the National Bank Open presented by Rogers from July 31 – August 12.
96 players, seven rounds, 21 sessions. Get ready for more tennis, more activities, more music, more food, more theme days, and more fun in our Tennis Playground for year three of our 12-day format.

*Dates, schedules, sessions, and programming are subject to change.
Interested in entering our Tennis Playground to see what all the fuss is about, but aren’t sure where to start? Don’t worry, let us break it down for you. If it starts to feel like déjà vu, it’s probably because our format closely resembles the Grand Slams.

Both cities will once again kick off their festivities with the always-popular IGA Family Weekend in Montreal, and Toronto’s 407 ETR Family Weekend which are designed to appeal to fans of all ages. Qualifying will once again be a one-day affair on Saturday, July 31 with 32 players vying for a place in the main draw.
In Toronto, admission is free while in Montreal, free grounds passes are available for the day as well as reserved seating on the main show courts starting for as little as $15. It’s the perfect opportunity to introduce your friends and family to tennis.
In addition to plenty of kid-friendly attractions like face painting, mascots, cotton candy, and giant bubbles, both family weekends always host plenty of familiar faces, both on the court and off. They will wrap up on Sunday, August 1 with a noteworthy slate of first round matchups on tap during the day and in the evening.
*Free ground passes for Family Weekend will be released closer to the tournament.

An expanded 96-player main draw means an extra round and a first-round bye for the top 32 seeds (previously, only the top 8 seeds were given byes), so more of the best players will debut on Tuesday or Wednesday. Each round up until the semi-finals will be contested over two days and players will also benefit from a day of rest between matches.

*Theme days and activities for 2027 will be unveiled beginning in April
Tickets for these sessions provide the most value for fans wanting to catch a glimpse of tennis’ biggest names and the next generation of stars.
One of the most popular additions to the National Bank Open since 2025, TennisFest Weekend will continue to bring the wow factor, both on and off the court. It’s where tennis meets festival energy, enjoy enhanced food and beverage options, exclusive offers, and interactive moments.

Speaking of a hot ticket, popular will surely be used to describe what’s on offer during week two with the final three rounds of the tournament set to be held exclusively on Centre Court and only at night over a period of four days, offering more matches in primetime, elevating the experience for fans on-site and those watching from home.

The NBO will culminate with the crowning of our 2027 singles and doubles winners under the lights on Thursday, August 12 as part of Championship Night where the energy of a nation meets the excitement of the game within the prestigious setting served up by our grand finale.
