Raising the curtain on the Montreal qualifying draw

Four Canadians battle for a spot in the main draw

On Sunday, the qualifying rounds of the National Bank Open presented by Rogers get underway at 11 a.m. at IGA Stadium.

Seven spots in the main draw are up for grabs, and four Canadians will fight it out to secure the two wins they need to move on. The first round is on Sunday, and the second is on Monday.

Alexis Galarneau will play the second match of the day on Centre Court against Facundo Diaz Acosta (6) of Argentina. At the same time, on Court 5, Nicolas Arsenault will face an uphill battle against Brandon Nakashima (4).
