Rain once again invited itself to the party on Monday at the National Bank Open presented by Rogers as play was entirely washed out at IGA Stadium with the exception of one completed doubles quarter-final.

That match featured the surprising Canadian duo of Duncan Chan and Alexis Galarneau saw their impressive run come to an end at the hands of Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic. The tournament’s third seeds advanced to the semi-finals with a 6-2, 6-4 victory.

The weather conditions mean that Monday’s scheduled singles quarter-finals featuring Arthur Fils against Rafael Jodar and Luciano Darderi versus Brandon Nakashima, will now be contested Tuesday afternoon.

More specifically, session 18, originally scheduled for Monday, August 10, has been postponed to Tuesday, August 11, at 12:30 p.m. Gates open at 11:30 a.m.

Tickets for session 18 will be valid for tomorrow. No exchanges, credits, or refunds will be issued.

Meanwhile, session 19, originally scheduled for Tuesday, August 11 at 4 p.m., will now begin at 6 p.m. and will feature two singles matches: Jakub Mensik versus Ben Shelton followed by Daniel Merida vs. Learner Tien.
