Montreal Day 11 Recap Served Up by IGA: Shelton, Jodar, Tien and Nakashima Complete Final Four

It was a packed schedule at IGA Stadium with all four singles quarterfinals on the docket, plus a trio of doubles matches. 

American Brandon Nakashima, Spaniard Rafael Jodar, defending NBO champion Ben Shelton, and No. 12 seed Learner Tien are the remaining title contenders thanks to convincing victories on Tuesday.

Nakashima and Jodar will face off in Wednesday’s first semifinal beginning at 6 p.m. follow by Shelton taking on his compatriot Tien, who finished off Tuesday’s play with an impressive 6-3, 6-2 win over Daniel Merida of Spain.

In doubles, the final four teams are Francisco Cerundolo/Tomas Etcheverry, Orlando Luz/Rafael Matos, Marcelo Arevalo/Mate Pavic, and Theo Arribage/Albano Olivetti. 

A salute to our volunteers 

Tuesday was volunteer recognition day at the NBO as we paid tribute to all those who are pivotal in making the tournament a success in every aspect of the organization.

Meanwhile, Zachary Bolduc and Samuel Montembeault of the Montreal Canadiens were in attendance to watch the evening featuring triumphs for Shelton and Tien.
