The National Bank Open in Montreal is Tennis and then some

The National Bank Open presented by Rogers in Montréal is so much more than a tennis tournament. Of course, it’s where the world’s best players collide in epic battles, which is already a lot, but that’s not all!

During the event, IGA Stadium will also be hosting a myriad of entertaining activities for the young and young at heart.

This year, to make the transition easier for the competitors who are flying in from the Paris Olympics, the final will be decided on Monday, August 12, in the evening.

IGA Family Weekend

Held from Saturday, August 3 to Monday, August 5, IGA Family Weekend is a three-day happening chock-full of fun and original activities.

On top of the qualifying rounds, the entire stadium will be celebrating. From inflatable games to face painting for kids and charming mascots, there’ll be lots to see and do.

In the Tennis Canada Fan Zone, a high-tech skills-testing game is sure to thrill the new generations of players who are quickly finding their place in modern tennis.

There will also be accuracy games, challenges for would-be ballkids, the fastest serve cage, the Rogers First Set activation to introduce new players to tennis, a photo op with the NBO championship trophy, mindfulness moments, yoga sessions, dance lessons, cotton candy treats, ball hockey and prize draws.

Tickets for IGA Family Weekend are free, and the event is open to anyone and everyone who wants to have a great time, discover all sorts of extraordinary activities and see exceptional players go head-to-head for a spot in the main draw of the Masters 1000 tournament.

There’s also plenty of fun to be had throughout the week, including a creative workshop at which artists of all stripes can craft their very own works of art.

An action-packed week

During the tournament, the daily musical breaks are the chance for fans to slow down and relax before setting out for more activities and more exciting tennis.

Spectators who want to do some star spotting should find a seat for the celebrity tournament. Do the headliners have what it takes to handle the pressure? Will they keep smiling even when they mishit? Will they show a whole new side to their personality on the court?

And the ceremonies held before every evening session are not to be missed, as some of the biggest names in local and international tennis are honoured on Centre Court.

All week long, ticket holders can use Montréal’s bus and métro system to travel to and from the stadium at no charge.

The National Bank Open is so much more than a world-class tennis tournament. It’s the chance to learn, have fun, challenge oneself, enjoy tennis and try countless fun new activities.

The NBO is some of the best Montréal, Québec and Canada have to offer, and you don’t want to miss it!
