Saturday, July 26 Toronto Preview: One Day of Qualifying to Kick Off 2025 National Bank Open

Finally, the day has arrived. The 2025 National Bank Open is officially underway.

Saturday at Sobeys Stadium will be a busy one, with 16 qualifying matches on the schedule surrounded by tons of fun activities for 407 ETR Family Weekend. Gates open at 10 am. It is going to be a great way to inaugurate the Tennis Playground.

Here’s what to expect on qualifying Saturday of the 2025 NBO.

On-Court Action

It’s one day for all the marbles at Sobeys Stadium. And by all the marbles, we mean a spot in the main draw.

For the first time, there will be a single day of qualifying for the National Bank Open, with just one round of matches to decide the remaining 16 spots in the main draw.

Former world No. 17 Adrian Mannarino is the top seed and will kick off play on the Motorola razr Grandstand Court against Canadian Juan Carlos Aguilar. There are four Canadians, all wildcards, competing in qualifying and looking to join their seven compatriots in the main draw: Aguilar, Alvin Nicholas Tudorica, Dan Martin, and Justin Boulais.

Play gets underway at 11 am.

Around the Grounds

As per tradition, the first Saturday and Sunday of the National Bank Open is 407 ETR Family Weekend!

All the classic family activities are back around the grounds, including face painting, arts and crafts, caricatures, and more. On the way into the site, there will be a certain number of gift bags handed out to guests who arrive early, so don’t delay on your way to the stadium.
