72 of the WTA Tour's Top 75 players set to take part at the 2026 National Bank Open in Toronto
July 8, 2026
Chef John Mike Leblond has attended the National Bank Open presented by Rogers as a tennis fan for years to watch some of his favourites including Marat Safin, Rafael Nadal, Nick Kyrgios, and Carlos Alcaraz.
When speaking with the renowned Montreal chef, it’s easy to see why he would be drawn to players with personalities as big as their games.
“I think it's a high-energy, exciting event with a selection of food and beverages that's always diverse and really fun. It's an honor to be part of this year's tournament,” Chef John Mike said.
He will be the architect behind ‘OBN à table’, a three-day gastronomic discovery pop-up event during CELSIUS TennisFest Weekend from August 7-9 that he promises will knock your socks off. Inspired by his many trips to Turkey and to Europe where bazars and public markets are popular, the experience will feature multiple stations that will highlight fresh, local ingredients and encourage guests to whet their appetite and try new things. The stations will be interactive too with experts on hand to educate about the products being used.
“You walk in and everything smells good there’s all kinds of colours. That’s what we’re trying to re-create with ‘OBN à table’," Chef John Mike added. “It's the kind of service that feels like it never ends. There's something for everyone and everyone gets something out of it. It's important to me that people feel a sense of volume and abundance. It's very generous,” Chef John Mike added.
Each service will be all-you-can-eat and all-you-can drink with explosive cocktails and music to accompany the food stations, one of which will be an outdoor BBQ that will be a show on its own. The goal is to allow guests to take their time and be transported elsewhere by this one-of-a-kind experience that will evoke all five senses.
“It’s a unique culinary experience. It’s a moment in time when people allow themselves to escape. You’re immersed in opulence and high-end cuisine. It’s festive, unpretentious, and a Montreal creation,” Chef John Mike explained.

Tickets for ‘OBN à table’ are now available for the service time of your choice from August 7-9. You don’t want to miss it, will be a guaranteed wow!
“As part of our ongoing commitment to continually elevate the hospitality experience, we partnered with Chef John Mike to create an event that celebrates local producers, artisans and the vibrant culinary culture that makes Quebec so special,” said Daniel Lima, Hospitality Director at Tennis Canada. “More than a meal, ‘OBN à table’ is an immersive experience where hospitality, creativity and craftsmanship come together to create something memorable and distinctly different.”
